What are the minimum requirements to install
m-Vision?

m-Vision for Pocket PC:

  • Recommended Pocket PC. Click here to see whether your mobile device is compatible with m-Vision.
  • Microsoft ActivSync installed and running.
  • USB Connection to your mobile device.
  • 4MB of memory for installation. Additional 5MB of memory for running the m-Vision application.
  • Up to 128MB of memory space to store the m-Vision video content. It is highly recommended that, in order to conserve RAM memory space, you install m-Vision to a 128MB (or higher) storage card.

m-Vision for Smartphone:

  • Recommended Smartphone. Click here to see whether your mobile device is compatible with m-Vision.
  • Microsoft ActivSync installed and running.
  • USB Connection to your mobile device.
  • 1MB of memory for installation. Additional 2MB of memory for running the m-Vision application.

A description of m-Vision's status messages

If you are using m-Vision on Pocket PC or Pocket PC Phone, various messages will appear in the Status window of your Playlist screen from time to time. Here is a description of what these messages mean -

Verifying Account
Appears after registration or entering your Username to verify these details. This should only take a short time.

m-Vision Service Activated
Once your username is verified, this message indicates you have successfully activated m-Vision.

Starting Content Update
Indicates that a content update has been initiated. This will appear when you select 'Playlist Update' and may also appear automatically in 'auto' mode.

Currently Updating Content
This will appear during a Playlist update indicating content is in the process of being downloaded.

Content Update Aborted. Try Again.
There is a communication error between the device and m-Vision. Ensure your Internet connection is enabled and try again.

Content Updating Completed
When the Playlist has completed a full content update this message will appear indicating there is no more new content available at this time.

Connection Error. Please Try Again.
There is a communication problem between your device and the m-Vision server. Try again later.

How to update m-Vision content?

To update your m-Vision content there are two methods - Auto and Manual. For more information on which method is right for you click here. Once m-Vision has completed a full update of available content 'Update Complete' will appear in the status box and the current date and time will appear under 'Last Updated'.
